She is the most gentle, loving cat we have ever had at FURR! This kitty would be great with other kitties, children, family, etc. She is extremely special!!! WINNIFURR is only about a year old and was rescued living underneath a church crawl space! WINNIFURR is ready to go and she also talks when she is happy which is most of the time! I had a trap set at the Waxhaw Methodist Church because I had a call last week (late September 2017) about 2 little kittens living underneath the church with NO mama in site. After a short time, I found the MAMA KITTY in my trap! I took her home and she was screaming, hissing and running back and forth in the trap. I set up a cage in the office and gave her some food and water, turned off the light to help her relax and went back to check on the other trap. (I had set 2 traps) but, no luck – no kittens.
When I got back to the lodge, I went in to see the mama kitty and she had cleaned her bowl completely clean. She seemed to have settled down some. I carefully reached in to get the empty bowl out of there and she did not make a sound. I started talking to her and she started purring! The look in her eyes changed a bit since an hour or so before and I decided to see if she would let me pet her. Low and behold, she started making biscuits and purring up a storm! She was acting as if she had never been petted in her life and she was LOVING it! She was almost marching. It was amazing and I was thrilled! I was able to deworm her, put REVOLUTION on her and I gave her some more food!

This poor little kitten lived underneath the buggy carts at a Target store eating scraps for TWO weeks before FURR was called. He was SO tiny (about 8 weeks) and SO skinny. No one could catch him but FURR immediately went out and trapped the little guy. He was purring as soon as we got him out of the trap and cuddled him!
BUGGY has amazing and unusual light blue eyes and he is happy as a lark with anyone that will spend time with him! This kitten will be the epitome of the “great male orange tabby” being called the best cats in the world! He’s gonna be one of those!

I had been struggling for months knowing that after a year in that one room at FURR for Mrs. & Twin kitties, something had to change. It was obvious, by now, that no one was going to adopt the cats together and you talk about “tough love”…….it was breaking my heart to separate them. I also knew that their current life could not continue.
THEN, I got a text message from PAM (FERN’S MOM) and she told me that after careful thought and consideration, she and Fern were opening up their home and their hearts to the TWIN kitties!!!
Needless to say, I cried buckets for an entire day and I am just beside myself with joy for these two precious cats! I know that PAM will love them unconditionally and provide a great home for them! PAM is especially gentle, quiet and caring. I could not imagine a better place for the girls to go!
After FERN in eventually introduced to the twins, I can just imagine PAM’s bed covered with three of the most beautiful long-haired black & white cats FURR has ever had! All three of the cats have the exact same personalities…….a little shy, super sweet, innocent & loving. I think, just like with KATHLEEN’S adoption of Tinker, it is going to be a beautiful match for all!
The twins will be leaving around the 3rd week in May after PAM returns from a trip to see her family in Ohio. Also, I am making sure that Fern gets her shots to inoculate her for FeLV. After the twins go to PAM’s and stay for about a week in their “safe” room, they will be ready to meet Fern and there will be lots of happy times to come for all!!!

We intend to adopt them out as a pair not only because they are so close, but also because TWIN KITTY is a special needs cat and needs to remain with her sister. They desperately need a home so they can get out of the one small room they are living in. This gorgeous matching pair is only about a year old and waiting to meet you so they can share their lives with someone who loves and cares for them!

Chiffon adopted in September 2017 with Meezer Kitten 4!
We rescued Girlfriend (their pregnant mom) and we were super duper happy when she had 4 unbelievably beautiful kittens!
First at the top photo, meet Chiffon – abeautiful female kitten so soft you wouldn’t believe it with fur that feels like cotton and gorgeous BLUE EYES! Not only are ALL these kittens shown here sweet as can be, but they are friendly, healthy and ready for their “furrever” home! It would be amazing if we could keep them together…they just love each other!

REBO is an amazing cat that has survived the odds………BIG TIME! This “reborn” (hence “REBO”) cat was hit by a car and left for dead in the middle of the road. He laid there all day until someone passed by (a second time) and stopped to move him off the road. This cat was still ALIVE! In a coma for 2-3 days we did not know if REBO was going to survive, but he did! He made it, woke up, and is just a fabulous kitty! He is special needs because his sight is still somewhat hindered, but everything else is great! This cat is so sweet and you can pick him up and hold him like a baby! He loves to be scratched and petted! His adorable crossed eyes almost make him look like a Disney character! You cannot believe how wonderful this cat is until you meet him in person! He is so lucky and the care and prayers that FURR provided him paid off!
REBO will be a terrific indoor kitty, but will need to be loved and slowly introduced to a new home. He can see some, and that might improve with time, but right now, his vision is slightly impaired, so he needs a very understanding and loving family to take care of him!!! REBO is only about 10 months old and is completely vetted and ready to go!!! Do yourself a favor and come meet this miracle of a kitty! You will be moved!

This GORGEOUS Russian Blue Mix kitty is super sweet! He wags his tail (LOL) and loves to be scratched and rubbed! He was living in a colony of cats and was trapped because he was injured. All of his paws were infected, bleeding and sore…..he couldn’t walk without limping. FURR nursed this poor kitty back to health and now he is fat & happy! His paws are all healed and he is soooo sweet! Mooney gets along great with all the other kitties and he is just beautiful with a shiny blue-gray coat. This young kitty is between 1 & 2 years old and ready for his “furrever” home! He is a teensy shy until you meet him a couple times and then he is wonderful! Don’t delay…..this Russian Blue mix will not be at the rescue for long!
