Terry Schultz – Founder and President
Terry Schultz founded Feline Urgent Rescue and Rehab (FURR) in 2009. Terry grew up in Wilmington, North Carolina, on a horse farm and always had numerous animals as a child chinchillas, dogs, cats, horses, goats, and geese. With the encouragement and support of her parents, she developed a love for animals during her childhood and also began riding and showing horses at a young age. As a result, Terry has been involved in animal rescue for many years.
Terry founded Feline Urgent Rescue and Rehab (FURR) a registered 501(c)(3) organization so she could devote 100% of her time to her passion of rescuing and taming stray and feral cats. She operates a no-kill, cage-free rescue, which is a safe haven for cats to temporarily reside until they are adopted into their “FURRever” home. Terry and her husband Mike live in Hampstead, North Carolina, with their 4 rescued dogs and 10 rescued cats. Their motto is “Saving the World One Kitty at a Time!”
Michelle Rivers – Vice President of FURR and Website Manager
Michelle has been involved with FURR for over 12 years as the Web Site Administrator, catfurr.org, and FURR’s pages in the adoption sites Petfinder and Adopt -a-Pet. She has always had a special love for kitties and so naturally developed a love for our rescue work as well!
