July 3, 2025 – PERCY, one of the two FURR cats adopted 4 years ago, however we’re very sad to report that his loving owner, Carol, recently died, so it became necessary for his family to return him to FURR. Lucy and Percy need to stay together as they were adopted together as kittens 4 years ago. They are both sweet as can be and need a new FURR-ever home as soon as possible!
January 2023 – Great news Percy is adopted! The beautiful black & white PERCY boy was adopted by a wonderful couple! This big kitty, although quite shy, has a lot of love to give & has waited WAY too long for his dream to come true!
His new mom, Carol, is extremely patient & spends a lot of time with PERCY giving him love & play time!
PERCY is one of the last Topsail colony rescued cats now with only Charlie & Lucy left to be adopted. Dozens of cats and kittens were rescued from the Topsail colony over the last couple of years & now, all but 2, have “furrever” safe indoor homes. It has been a journey. Al, Sherry, Rick & Deb ALL came together & worked with me to make it all happen.
I am so thrilled for PERCY! Lucy is more than ready for her opportunity and Charlie is still a work in progress but coming along nicely!

July 2022 If you want a big laid back boy, I could be the one for you! PERCY is my name and FURR rescued me from a colony of cats living at Topsail Beach! I am about a year old now and what a handsome boy I am! My fur is super soft and I love to be rubbed. I have a very quiet nature and can be a teensy shy, but after petting me for a moment, I can purrrrr to beat the band! My favorite thing is kitty treats and playing with all my buddies! Why don’t you come meet me and see for yourself! I am fully vetted & ready to go!
