The adoption of MEEZER 1 went extremely well!  Her new name is “Dora” and her new mom is in LOVE with her!  This was truly a match made in Heaven and especially since Ms. Betty had just lost her beloved Maggie Moo.  Meezer is so happy at Betty’s and she is getting tons of love, brushing, food and ANYTHING else she wants or needs!  Meezer is being so sweet and both Betty and Meezer (Dora) are really happy together.  This is such a blessing.

Losing Maggie Moo effected all of us, but especially Betty who had loved and cared for her for years.  Maggie Moo will never be replaced, but Betty had a lot of love still left to give, so Meezer was the lucky one to be picked!  I am so happy for this poor kitty that came from a horrible place and now is totally happy!!!  What a great match!

Dexter & Chenille adopted 8/13/2017!

August 21, 2017 –  ADOPTION UPDATE FOR TWO OF OUR PRECIOUS KITTENS:    DEXTER & CHENILLE!!!  What could be more convincing than this that our kittens went to the best home ever!  Look at this report below from Sherry after only ONE day at their new home!  How wonderful it is that these 2 kittens found the home of a lifetime!  Sherry also uses Dr Moses as her vet!  Woo hoo!!!  Sherry and her husband do not have kids, have a HUGE gorgeous home and they waited until they were ready to adopt again after losing their beloved two elderly kitties.  I could not be happier about them adopting two FURR kittens and I have a feeling we will get lots and lots of wonderful pictures and updates!!!!  Isn’t this wonderful!!!

Dexter is such a cutie! Sitting up to say hello and everything! Chenille is now his gorgeous female FURRever friend!

ADORABLE big-eyed baby girl kitten with AMAZING rescue story!!! This kitty was found underneath a car that had stopped at an intersection during rush hour! The driver heard a noise, got out of their car, stopped up traffic for miles and discovered a kitten riding underneath the car! How she survived is anyone’s guess, but obviously she managed to hang on! Once she was rescued, she just purred and purred with gratitude! The courage that this little kitten displayed and the fact that she is a non-stop purring kitty resulted in the name “PURRAGE”! This kitten certainly deserves the BEST home ever! Cracker and Danny are adopted together at a late July 2017 PetSmart Weekend! A wonderful lady fell in love with Danny & Crackers today!  She is married and she and her husband are newly retired.  They have had cats their entire lives and are currently without a kitty since losing their last one.  She was ready for 2 new ones and just really loved these two.  She was not at all bothered by the fact that Danny is 90 miles an hour and an “in your face” kind of kitty and that Crackers is super fun, playful and sweet – more of a cuddle kitty.  She is a retired teacher and her husband retired from one of the airlines. I am going to do a home visit tomorrow. I am so happy that 2 of our older kittens got a home!  Really happy for them, but gonna miss them so much!  Isn’t that wonderful!!!

August 1, 2017 DANNY & CRACKERS were adopted at PetSmart on SAT and yesterday was the home visit and delivery!  It went great and the “young” retired couple has a beautiful BIG home off near Stonecrest.  The cats were super happy and seemed content to just wander around sniffing everything in their large master bedroom and bath.  These kittens will have lots of room to run and play!  I think they will be allowed out of the master bedroom fairly soon.  They seem like the type of kitties that will adjust quickly!  I am so happy for these two boys!  They are so beautiful and have become great friends!  Crackers was always a lot bigger than his sisters and so he matched Danny’s size and was able to keep up with him just fine!  I was clear to tell the new owners that Danny is an “in your face” wild child full of energy!  Crackers, on the other hand, is a snuggler, but will follow Danny anywhere and play with him!  What a great adoption!  Soooooo glad I went to PetSmart Saturday!!!

Danny’s Story
Absolutely Adorable!! Danny is a super cute tabby and white boy who also has 4 other brothers to play with. Born at our facility in March 2017, they are super sweet and cuddly and can’t wait for their furever home so they can be someone’s new kitty best friend! Update August 2017 – Absolutely Adorable and Adopted together!!

Triscuit and Biscuit are little tabby/calico puff balls sisters and sweet as can be! They love each other and are inseparable. Their beautiful bright coloring is quite unusual with calico/tabby markings – “tabicos”. They are extremely sweet and very playful. You will not find two more amazing kittens hand raised at FURR!!

Watch Triscuit’s “Jumping Bean Video” – it’s hilarious!

They get crazy excited when they see people coming to visit them. Please make an appointment to come see them and you’ll fall in love!

Update – December 12, 2022

Well here he is “The Mouse”, we love him and so does his sister Cleo, and his favorite dog Lyllie. He is the best cat ever, so loving and well he just loves his life. So happy that we found him, or he actually found us that day. Thank you Terry he brings me so much joy and smiles every day, he is the clown cat always getting into something but also so cuddly and purrs all the time. We wish you a very Merry Christmas and keep up the good work.

MOUSE is kindest little fella! He is just sweet beyond words giving head butts and making biscuits for anyone who comes near! MOUSE is a short haired black & white kitty with such a sweet little face!

This little boy was found dumped downtown Charlotte near the Panther Stadium, with his brother and sisters Mickey (adopted) and Minnie (available), where a good Samaritan found him and called FURR. We now have them at our rescue and MOUSE is just precious! He was born around the beginning of July 2016 and comes fully vetted with all shots, blood testing, neuter & microchip! He is a pleasure to have at our rescue and all the volunteers love him, but he would love a “real” home! You should come to meet this sweet kitty & you will fall in love with him too!
