Mona is Adopted!
May 31, 2024 I’m so happy to announce another adoption!!! “MONA” kitty was rescued by FURR & was adopted before we even advertised her! I wish they all would get adopted that fast!
Kristy called to tell me about cats living in Rocky Point at a gas station. She investigated & found out the convenient store clerks were feeding them. Kristy alerted me to the fact that there were at least 5 cats there. Kristy and I started to try to save them. I was able to trap 2 of the teenagers and another rescue group had agreed to take them.
Then we rescued a large adult cat that had been abandoned by a nearby business. Kristy managed to get him in a carrier and we had another rescue take him.
That left 3 cats with no where to go. I decided to take one cat (being already overloaded with cats) and Kristy had befriended “MONA” and was able to get her into a carrier.
After getting her fixed, shots, etc., she came to FURR & tamed up beautifully!
It didn’t take any time and our own volunteer, Laura, fell in love with MONA!
Laura adopted MONA and added her to her current family: husband, 2 rescued dogs, Daddy Batts (FURR cat!), Coral (FURR cat), and 2 other kitties!
All is going great & here are some wonderful pictures!
There are still 2 cats living at the convenience store. Both are BLACK! One is younger & probably MONA’s sibling or possible kitten. He’s a boy and needs RESCUE!!!
The other kitty already has an ear tip, but needs help with an injured eye. This one is also earning Kristy’s trust as she is making sure they have daily food & water!
THANK U LAURA for giving another rescued cat a home!!!
