What is GivingTuesday? December 3rd is GivingTuesday. It was created in 2012 as a simple idea: a day that encourages people to do good and help others. GivingTuesday is four days after Black Friday and the day after Cyber Monday. Please consider sharing a portion of your holiday giving with adorable, adoptable FURR kitties.
Why donate to FURR? If we can get enough people to give us a small donation, we can rescue and care for more cats and kittens urgently in need and prepare them for a FURR-ever home, like Bumble Bee and Charlie (photos below). Meet all FURR kitties available for adoption on PetFinder!
While we are so grateful to our community of supporters for helping FURR survive this long, we are continuing to struggle and unfortunately moving backwards in terms of our expenses versus our donations due to several rescues this year where the kitties needed expensive veterinary care, such as the kitties rescued from living near an Advance Auto store. We don’t know how much longer we can sustain this trend, but we can’t stop saving the FURR kitties! Our work is too important, so we are asking for your help to make ends meet.

Somehow, we always find a way to make it through for the benefit of all our precious kitties. Sometimes it almost seems impossible and we look back and wonder how we got by. Then we remember, our miracle is you! Thank you for helping us in honor of GivingTuesday and in the spirit of the holidays!
What to know about FURR? Feline Urgent Rescue and Rehab (FURR) was founded in 2009 by Terry Schultz and to this day, 100% of her time is devoted to rescuing and rehabilitating stray and feral cats and kittens. Your donation supports our “no kill” shelter, a cage free facility, the FURR Lodge, which is a safe haven for cats and kittens to temporarily reside, recover and become adorable, loving pets ready for FURRever homes.
